Q) Will Mr. Lid Containers™ stain?
A) For the majority of foods Mr. Lid's Polypropylene will not stain. But when many tomato based products are microwave heated to the food boiling point it results in staining the plastic. This can be avoided by warming the food and avoiding overheating the food. Another recommended approach mentioned on many websites is BEFORE putting anything in plastic containers that contain a tomato base, spray the container with a non-sticking cooking spray. (PAM or equivalent)

Q) How should Mr. Lid be cleaned?
A) Mr. Lid can easily be cleaned in dishwashers by rinsing prior to placement in open position with inside surfaces facing downward. The Mr. Lid containers must be in the open position. Mr. Lid can also be easily cleaned with typical dish wash soaps with a sponge to clean container and the Mr. Lid seal on the underside of the lid. Mr. Lid should not be cleaned with abrasive cleaners or kitchen cleaning aids such as steel wool (SOS pads) or abrasive cleaners.

Q) What's the best way to store Mr. Lid?
A) Storing of Mr. Lid can be done in a number of ways that typically are driven by personal preference. In most cases it is preferred to store Mr. Lid containers in the open position and nesting same sizes together to better utilize storage space. i.e. An open stack of four 8 oz containers fit into a stack of 16 oz containers fit into a stack of 32 oz containers. Mr. Lid sandwich stacks within itself. The larger containers are preferred to be stored in the closed position as the lids are quite large on the deluxe (48 oz), marinade (1 gallon), and cereal (96 oz).

A) Mr. Lid's hinge is very strong and will only break when subjected to abnormal conditions. If dropped in the open position onto a hard surface of over 3 feet with the lid twisting may result in hinge failure. The lid seal has a press-fit to the side walls of the base, to insure the seal is fully engaged keep food below the "fill line".
